Experience matters

As I become older I realize that people of my generation, the boomers, are hard working, no nonsense source of dedicated workers. We grew up in an era that didn't have all the distraction of today. Our parents were from a different era and we had to go out and get anything we wanted or desired. There were no kids walking around with their faces plastered against a cell phone screen, or glued to a couch or chair playing video games for hours upon end. I was the oldest of three and the only way I got the things I really wanted or needed was to get a job and earn the money to buy them. Work ethic for the most part is impeccable and dedication unquestioned. Employers would do well to dip into this large area of knowledge and use the boomer generation to help shape the direction for the next groups coming along.
