The age of multi-careers

Back in the day kids graduated from high school went to work at the local factory and worked there until they retired. Those days are nothing but a pipe dream now. Not only does the type of jobs change rapidly, but companies come and go like the wind. Companies you remember are sucked up by big conglomerates and changed into something else or done away with all together. Even older workers are now faced with the problem of becoming obsolete because of outdated skills or jobs that no longer exist. You have to become like a chameleon and be ready to change careers and jobs rather quickly. Education is the key, and even that is not always enough. Ongoing job training and new opportunities will be the key. Don't be left in the dust, become proactive, pro education and proficient.
